Join Jeffco Parks & Open Space and the City of Arvada in a collaborative effort to clean up our lands. Volunteers will help remove trash, recyclables, and debris from the area. Trash negatively impacts water quality, endangers plants and animals, and pollutes the outdoor spaces vital for tourism and recreation. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001; a solemn milestone that reminds us of the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the sacrifices made in the years that followed. At 8:46 a.m., participants will gather together for the first moment of silence (8:46 a.m. EST marks the time when the first plane hit the north tower). Then a brief speech about the event and the cleanup route will be provided. We will observe a second moment of silence at 9:02 a.m. (9:02 a.m. EST is when the second plane hit the south tower). Local artist and JCPOS employee Collin Brown will perform "Amazing Grace," after which the cleanup will begin. Please park along Dunraven Street between North Table Mountain Water & Ralson Water Treatment Plant Directions to project site: https://maps.app.goo.gl/BymtZaMMkWA5Womy7 Please consider carpooling.
