Background: Be part of this exciting project where we will be creating a usable trail for our visitors experiencing disabilities. We will be working on Painters Pause and Noble Meadows Trails to create a 16,000 ft loop trail. Volunteers will be removing obstacles such as rocks within the trail as well as improving the cross slope in sections of the trail. The aim is to improve the usability of our trails for people requiring different types of mobility devices. REQUIREMENTS: Be in good physical condition Be able to use a variety of tools, including shovels, picks and rakes Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian Be prepared for numerous and changing environmental conditions WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Snacks for the day Closed-toe, sturdy shoes are required. No open-toed shoes or sandals of any kind will be allowed. Long pants (we will be working in rattle snake habitat) Work gloves Plenty of water (2 quarts minimum) Lunch is provided Raingear Sunscreen and insect repellent A day pack
