Volunteers will meet at 6404 Ralston Road, please park in the cul-de-sac and along the north side of the road. Volunteers are encouraged to use alternative transportation to attend the project. This south-facing slope needs replanting to help prevent erosion and provide habitat. Help to scatter a new seed blend of native grasses that is designed to help push out the weeds currently growing in the location. Volunteers will be treated to live music, free food from a handful of food trucks and beer for individuals 21 years of age and older. Volunteers arriving on foot or bike will receive an extra raffle ticket for a chance to win amazing prizes. REQUIREMENTS: Be in good physical condition Be able to use a variety of tools, including shovels, picks and rakes Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian Be prepared for numerous and changing environmental conditions WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Closed-toe, sturdy shoes are required No open-toed shoes or sandals of any kind will be allowed Work gloves Plenty of water (2 quarts minimum) Rain gear Snacks Sunscreen and insect repellent Day backpack NO PETS ALLOWED
