LOCATION: Tony Grampsas complex, 4471 Salvia St, Golden, CO 80403 https://maps.app.goo.gl/k1Bs8Evu39ooeDE56 BACKGROUND: Volunteers will perform light maintenance and collect rocks for other projects to follow on the Mesa Top Trail. We will be hiking about 1.5 miles from the Tony Grampsas complex by the softball fields. We'll use a variety of tools to improve water drainage and for the safe carrying of large rocks. Each individual must register separately, even if part of the same family. PARTICIPANTS: This activity involves hiking and using common tools like shovels. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. As this is an outdoor activity, please dress in appropriate layers for the weather. WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Closed-toed shoes are required (no sandals) Long pants and a hat are recommended Your own snacks you may need Work gloves if you have them (we will have extras as well) Water Rain gear Sunscreen, insect repellent, any required medications A day pack (to hold all of the above) Jefferson County Open Space is counting on your help with this project. We will be bringing tools and staff to the project site, so knowing our numbers is important.
