Noxious Weed Removal @ELK - Other
Friday, 14 August 2026 @ 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Natural Resources - Adult Programs
Volunteers will be performing restoration work and will be removing invasive weeds called mullein. Mullein is a type of noxious weed, and volunteers will cut and bag the seed heads and dig up rosettes. This will keep the mullein from spreading and displacing native plant species, and help to keep this front-range ecosystem intact and resilient. Please park at the Buchanan Park Recreation Center (32003 Ellingwood Trail, Evergreen, CO 80439): https://maps.app.goo.gl/sy5UxAwduVN1nRGPA Project site: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gWrosfsN9VWXTWUs7 What to bring & wear: • Project waiver: All volunteers need to sign a waiver.
