TRV/GMR Trail Work at South Table Mountain  - South Table Mountain Park

LOCATION: South Table Mountain Ancient Palms Trail. Please meet at Applewood Methodist Church: https://maps.app.goo.gl/scXAsRYNaJt7BV1X6 BACKGROUND: Join Trail Runner Volunteers and Golden Mountain Runners for light maintenance at South Table Mountain Park where we will perform light maintenance on the Ancient Palms Trail to improve drainage and cut back vegetation on the trail. PARTICIPANTS: This activity involves hiking and using common tools like shovels. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. As this is an outdoor activity, please dress in appropriate layers for the weather. WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Closed-toed shoes are required (no sandals) Long pants and a hat are recommended Your own snacks you may need Work gloves if you have them (we will have extras as well) Water Rain gear Sunscreen, insect repellent, any required medications A day pack (to hold all of the above) Jefferson County Open Space is counting on your help for this project. We will be bringing tools and staff to the project site, so knowing our numbers is important. If you are unable to volunteer, please cancel your registration to allow someone else a chance to sign-up for the project. Given the variability in weather, there is always a risk of trail work being canceled/rescheduled. Staff will evaluate conditions and the forecast and will email if the project cannot take place.
