We will be collecting poverty oatgrass (Danthonia spicata) on August 5th from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Lippincott Ranch. We will meet at the parking lot on Plainview Rd immediately after you turn off Highway 72. We can consolidate vehicles and drive down the road to Lippincott. Poverty oatgrass is a native grass that occurs throughout much of the United States and Canada. It grows on mesas, dry slopes and in grasslands and ponderosa pine forests. This species is desirable for use in forestry units after management has occurred.
