Participant Opportunities

Volunteers will be closing and restoring social trails, and cutting vegetation, as well as planting new plants and shrubs. Please meet at the main parking area at the following location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/CsWsSte1oVWFeC2cA REQUIREMENTS: Be in good physical condition Be able to use a variety of tools, including shovels, picks and rakes Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian Be prepared for numerous and changing environmental conditions WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Closed-toe, sturdy shoes are required No open-toed shoes or sandals of any kind will be allowed Long pants are recommended Your own sack lunch Snacks Work gloves Plenty of water (2 quarts minimum) Rain gear Sunscreen and insect repellent A day pack If you need to cancel: Jefferson County Open Space is counting on your help for this project. We will be bringing tools and staff to the project site, so knowing our numbers is important. If you are unable to volunteer, please cancel your sign-up to allow someone else a chance to sign-up for the project.
