Join JCOS plant ecology staff for a seed cleaning event at the Jefferson County Open Space building! Part of the Native Plant Materials Program involves collecting seed from native species. Now, we need to take the next step and clean the seed so that it is ready to be used for seeding projects and so that it can be grown into plants with the help of our contract growers. Over 20 different species were collected in 2023, many of which still need to be cleaned. This is a great opportunity for folks that have joined us for seed collections as well as for people that are interested in the Native Plant Materials Program but have not yet had an opportunity to join us for a seed collection. This event will take place at the Jeffco Open Space offices at 700 Jefferson County Parkway, #100, Golden, CO 80401. We will meet at the Ponderosa Room, just inside the main doors. This is an indoor event with a water bottle fill station and restrooms available.
